Xbox on pc audio issues cannot hear audio from behind

Hi there. I'm having issues on Xbox on pc. I'm relatively new to the whole pc experience, but I'm having issues with any game i download from Xbox store for pc I cannot hear any audio that plays behind the character idk if its a surround sound issue or what but my head set works and plays fine for games that I got through steam or even the EA store. I'm using razer kraken tournament edition with the audio controller. I troubleshooted what I could but found nothing wrong with it since the headset works fine on my Xbox series x as well. any help would be appreciative.

I can see that you are having issues with Xbox on PC. This sounds like a possible audio configuration issue with the Xbox App for PC. Here are some steps you can try to fix it:

1. Open the Xbox App for PC and go to Settings > Audio.

2. Make sure that the output device is set to your Razer Kraken Tournament Edition headset and that the volume is not muted or too low.

3. Check if there is an option to enable or disable surround sound or spatial sound in the audio settings. If there is, try toggling it on or off and see if that makes a difference.

4. If the problem persists, you can also try updating your audio drivers and the Xbox App for PC. To do this, go to Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates. You can also check for updates in the Microsoft Store app.

the double audio im hearing is coming from the companion app on my pc that im using to stream from my xbox. its not from streamlabs. im getting the audio from my xbox and my pc via the companion app. but im using the companion app to use party chat to
talk. so i cannot mute it because it then mutes the party chat audio and im not able to hear my party.

How is the audio via headset? Can you hear footsteps from behind a wall or approaching you from behind like in MW3?.

I'm from the Xbox Forums team and I would be happy to help. I would like to ask some more specific questions to get a better idea of the issue.

It looks like the headset and mic is being recognized based on your troubleshooting and the indicators you pointed out but the issue is related to audio.

So do you hear the game audio or Is this strictly related to chat? Can you hear your friends? Or is it that you cannot hear them and they cannot hear you?
