    Hi All,

    I have my main LAN setup on 10.10.60.x. I separate my media devices on a separate VLAN (IOT) at 10.10.61.x. I'm using pfsense, and it is configured correctly. I setup my media devices to be able to access Plex, which is on my LAN. My apple TV, Amazon
    fire TV, and 2 Samsung TV's have not problem accessing Plex from the IOT network through a combination of wired and wifi. However, the XBOX cannot access Plex nor can it access my iPhone with the XBOX app. I created a rule to directly connect to my iPhone
    IP address. The XBOX is hard wired.

    When I connect my iPHone to the IOT network, I can connect to the XBOX. When connected to my LAN, it cannot. And I am accessing it via adding the IP address. The XBOX is setup to allow connections vis the iphone app from anyone.

    What could be the problem here?

    I am also experiencing this with a Ubiquiti setup with everything open between my subnets.. xbox is pingable from across different subnets.

    I just seems as though the Xbox App expects the Xbox to be in the same broadcast domain which is kinda stinks for those of us who'd like to implement security practices at home while still using neat features.

    Did you find a fix to this as i have exactly the same setup with pfsense. Cant get the app to connect at all to the xbox.

    try factory reseting the router/modem to see if that fixes the issue

    Hi phasedetect,

    I have exactly the same setup apart from different subnetting. Do you have anything extra setup like igmp snooping or anything?

    Strange thing is i can ping the xbox but even if i enter the xbox ip in the app it won't connect...

    I have my internal network, which is called LAN.net. The xbox is IOT.net, and I've attached the settings. LAN.net can go anywhere. IOT.net cannot, and you'll see what I have allowed it to go. xbox is 10.10.61.16 as you can see.
