    Hello Juan, my name is Gerardo and I'm happy to help.

    This is due to your console's power settings, the console intro will appear every time you turn it on if you have the "Shutdown (energy saving)" power mode set. That said, if you want the console to turn on directly, you need to set the power mode to "Sleep", this way you will prevent the console intro from appearing.

    You can change your console power mode using the following procedure:

    1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
    2. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > Power options.
    3. Select the option you prefer (sleep mode if you want to skip the Xbox intro).

    I had a Torrid time trying to get it to shut off last night.

    Sounds like a denial of service attack.

    To get back online you need a new IP address.

    With most ISP's you should be able to get a new IP address by simply disconnecting the power to your modem/router for a few minutes.

    If that doesn't work you would need to contact your ISP and tell them you may be a victim of a ddos attack and they should then be able to change your IP address.

    There are a few troubleshooting steps that you can try that might help fix the issue:

    Console turns off unexpectedly

    Failing that, if it is still in warranty then it might be worth sending it in for repair, which you can also do through that link I just posted :)
