Hello Juan, my name is Gerardo and I'm happy to help.

This is due to your console's power settings, the console intro will appear every time you turn it on if you have the "Shutdown (energy saving)" power mode set. That said, if you want the console to turn on directly, you need to set the power mode to "Sleep", this way you will prevent the console intro from appearing.

You can change your console power mode using the following procedure:

    1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
    2. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > Power options.
    3. Select the option you prefer (sleep mode if you want to skip the Xbox intro).

For more information about energy modes check the following link:

I hope this helps, if you have any questions please don't hesitate to let me know.

I'd rather have a root canal than use this Kinect.

I had a Torrid time trying to get it to shut off last night.

    "Xbox off.

........., uhh.... Xbox OFF..... Xbox Log off... Xbox Switch Off.... Xbox Shut off!!!......XBOX OFF!!!.... Xbox Sign off!....*Ponders for a minute*.... Xbox TURN off! Are you sure? YES!!!" lol That was an ordeal, but I put it down to not knowing the proper
commands yet. I think it's great, I just need practice.

    Kicked off Xbox

Sounds like a denial of service attack.

To get back online you need a new IP address.

With most ISP's you should be able to get a new IP address by simply disconnecting the power to your modem/router for a few minutes.

If that doesn't work you would need to contact your ISP and tell them you may be a victim of a ddos attack and they should then be able to change your IP address.

    Xbox Turns off

    Hi,

There are a few troubleshooting steps that you can try that might help fix the issue:

    Console turns off unexpectedly

Failing that, if it is still in warranty then it might be worth sending it in for repair, which you can also do through that link I just posted :)
