Xbox notifications on app from signed out account

So I’ve had this reoccurring issue for about a year now and it’s only starting to become an inconvenience now.

I’ve been receiving notifications from an Xbox account that was previously signed in on my mobile device but only briefly. Now I don’t receive any of my own Xbox notifications from my account on my app. (I am NOT referring to my Xbox console, I am referring to the mobile application.)

I’ve tried signing in and out of my account, resetting my notification preferences, and even uninstalling and reinstalling the mobile application on my phone but nothing has worked. Is there a fix for this?

On your Xbox App make sure that your notification is enabled by following the steps below:

Launch Xbox App > Settings > Notifications.

Once confirmed, you should now check your phone notification settings itself. This will depend on your device.

You're welcome and thank you for getting back at me. Found an article wherein it is stated that they have deleted the app twice then it works the second time all with an iOS device.

Kindly try to delete the app and then restart it before signing reinstalling the App.

Hello, Thank you for your reply.

I’ve already done this multiple times, and I actually followed the same steps before posting my question. I’ve even checked my device settings and I am indeed supposed to be receiving notifications from the Xbox app according to the settings.

I do receive notifications but not from my signed-in account. I receive notifications from an Xbox account that is no longer signed in on my device. I have a fully updated iPhone, all of my other apps work just fine, my only problem is the Xbox mobile app.

Kindly try to do these steps and check if it will fix the issue.

- Sign out of your account on the Xbox App and uninstall the App.

- Check for any phone updates

- Reinstall the Xbox App and do the following:

Sign in to your account in the Xbox app.

Select your profile pic and then Settings.

Under App settings, select Notifications.

Use the toggles to turn on or off the notifications you want.

Then check if that will fix the issue. Thank you!

Are you on PC or mobile device?

Please check your account services page on https://account.microsoft.com/services if your subscription has no pending due notification or is currently active.

If there's no issue there, try to sign out from your Xbox app and sign back in.
