Xbox not showing up on TV screen

I have had my Xbox one X for 2 weeks now and this has never been a problem before, But now when I switch on the Xbox, the Xbox button Lights up but nothing comes up on the TV screen.

Both my TV and my Xbox are on and are both connected by HDMI. I have tried using different HDMI cables, different HDMI ports and I have also tried using a different TV but neither have worked. I also tried setting it to a low resolution by holding the eject and Xbox button but this did't work either. If anyone has any ideas as to what is the problem is that would be greatly appreciated.

Hey there Lewicki,

Sorry to hear you're having issues connecting your console and TV.

Brandan and Dory both have great suggestions. I would recommend that you try different HDMI cables and try your own HDMI cable on a different TV.

Another step I would suggest is to try resetting your display settings. The steps below will help you.

Remove any discs from the disc tray.
Turn off the console.
Turn on the console.
Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left light illuminated.
As the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.

Could be dusty blow in it (for real) or can air. Maybe a Qtip. In the hdmi port.

Are you using the same HDMI cable for all the TVs and if so then its your TV if not then it might be the HDMI cable itself.

I have also been doing this manually without an HDMI switcher.

NOTE: The Xbox should be off when you perform these steps.

- Turn your Xbox off

- Press and hold both the bind button and the eject button on your Xbox.

NOTE: The bind button is the one you use to sync wireless controllers to your Xbox, and the eject button is the one you use to eject discs.

- With the bind and eject buttons still held down, press and release the power button. At this time, you will hear a startup chime.

- Continue holding the bind and eject buttons until you hear the startup chime a second time

- Release the bind and eject buttons.

If you manage to get to the troubleshooting screen, perform a factory reset. If that doesn't work then sadly, it seems to be an issue with the console.
