    Xbox not resuming properly. Doesn't restart properly


    On starting the xbox, screen remains black. It does flicker when pressing the xbox button on controller, but stays as if its off.

    If you hold button, then normal restart, report a problem panel appears.

    Try the steps for Device Manager and Clean Boot

    Have you checked the controller on another unit?

    Does it exhibit the same behavior?

    Try changing the battery to determine if possibly the old one is failing.

    Because it only happens while it is rebooting and the controller is still searching for its lost connection, none of those would make a difference.

    The controller works over bluetooth fine, its just that quirk that is problematic but not a gamebreaker by any means.

    Try to use VPN, connect to anywhere but your recent location, the Xbox app can load normally.

    Hi pasqualeeno, thanks for your reply. Unfortunately none of those fixed the issue, nor did anything on the page linked through by XBF Ihssane Z.

    I thought I should add that I've noticed the exact same issue has happened on my laptop as well.

    Let me know if you have any more thoughts on the matter.
