Xbox not getting upnp

Port Forwarding requires turning off UPnP, so the Xbox, which was using the UPnP, now has a problem.

So, we need to set up the Port Forwarding so it forwards the ports the Xbox needs and was getting via UPnP.

that's wrong. If you use UPnP for example and your xbox starts fresh it configurate UPnP and your router open the ports xbox wants. If you have instand mode then the xbox does NOT resend UPnP command and if your router have closed the ports you get a Problem.

Only if you restart your xbox from power saving mode ensures that all commands for UPnP are send to your router.

If you use UPnP you don´t need Static IP´s. On my Xbox (only one) I use UPnP and if I give my XBOX an Static IP my NAT type gets back to moderate. That makes no sense for me - maybe it´s the implementation of UPnP in my router. Only if I don´t give my xbox
a static IP and use UPnP my XBOX works with open NAT. Try to change your xbox to a non static IP Adress. and restart your Router.

It depends really Thomson routers are a bit odd UPnP can work on some versions but not on others. If UPnP does not work on its own follow the guides above but that will mean only on Xbox will get an Open NAT all of the time, the other will get moderate or
strict.
