    so i was on my xbox one s and out of no where the screen turns grey/no display and since then it wont make a connection with my tv or start up. my tv just says “hdmi 3” as in no connection to anything but today i sat there for a while and it finally switched
    from hdmi 3 screen to the grey screen again and it was like that for a while until it had the xbox one green start up screen but it got stuck of that so i turned it off and still no dosplay on my tv. and i have to hold down the xbox power button to turn it
    off

    Hey there WindyManAI.

    Have you had a chance to try a different HDMI port on the TV or even test on a different television to see if there's a change? If you're still having issues with a different TV even after resetting video settings, a repair/replacement is going to be your best
    option. Let us know how it goes :)

    1-check xbox display resolution at settings, display, and also check tv resolution too. then restart chosen game for changes to go to effect.
    My tv doesn't even have a resolution option. I think i need a new tv because this one is awful doesnt even support 4k, hdr or anything

    NO SOUND!

    Hook the xbox up to your fathers TV, go into system settings/console settings/display and disable display discovery, does that do anything to help you ?

    Resolution problems on my xbox one s

    What is the make and model of the display you have your XBOX connected to? Older TVs /displays will eventually not be able to handle higher resolutions and thus not display anything (back screen).

    Xbox One X Not Displaying on TV

    Thank you for the fast response! I don't have any other TVs or displays to connect it to right now. As for the television display, it doesn't show a resolution. I'm not getting a blank display or even a black screen or anything, it is just showing the screen
    saver of various images on the TV. The TV itself is a 4K and HDR enabled LG. Prior to this I was having no issues and haven't moved my system or changed anything.

    Oh well, I guess I should look into seeing how much a repair estimate would be then.
