Xbox not connecting to internet properly, has same problem after hard reset.

You can try a netword test and that will tell you where the problem is originating, for example by a poor internet connection etc. I would check your connections first to make it has a good/strong connection with your Xbox. You can also try a hard reset/power
cycle on your console and see if the game launches properly after that.

Hard reset the Xbox, then Uninstall the game. Disconnect the internet then reinstall the game. Once the game is installed connect to the internet then try the update again. (I has the same problem and this worked)

I used to have the same problem as you.

You see, you has to be connected to Xbox Live (internet) to unlock achievements.

If you are already connected to internet, then your problem seem to be very rare and sad. Also, you could try to hard reset the console, delete the caché, delete your profile and redownload it.
