Xbox not connected to WiFi when I turn it on for the past 4 days

Hi DakotaStrange, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Kindly perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

My mom says that I need to turn off the wifi router every night but when I turn on my router and I turn on my xbox my xbox won't connect to the wifi so I have to restart my xbox kinda every day so it connect to the wifi and it's really annoying so what can I do to fix it?

I had to do like a dozen system resets in the past 4 months

Are you in an Insider preview ring?

Are you getting any error messages/codes when you turn the console on?

If so, what are they?

Does the troubleshooting screen appear or does it go to the sign in Home screen?

Are you using WiFi or wired to connect to your network hardware?

If your WiFi is actually turning off when your Xbox connects, it sounds like an issue with your WiFi. Are there any settings through your WiFi/Internet provider (such as security settings for when a new device connects) that you could check?

This seems to be happening when you can't connect to the Xbox network. Check your wifi connection and also check xbox.com to see if any services are down. I do know that there were some outtages this past week.
