    Xbox not allowing me to appear online


    Xbox appears offline regardless of how many times I try to change it to online. I've reset the console, I've held the power button down for 10 seconds, unplugged for 10 seconds and plugged back in, deleted profile from Xbox and added it back and still having this issue. It will not allow me to appear online regardless of what steps I've taken. This is definitely a problem Microsoft has been neglecting to fix for years. I've personally dealt with this for several months now. This is unacceptable on their part.

    There are three options:

    1/ privacy

    2/ xbox one online safety

    3/ xbox 360 online safety

    The option to not allow purchases only appears under xbox one online safety option.

    Fix Update: I fixed the problem by resetting my Xbox after making sure adult was selected then it turned out i was appearing offline, not sure if that had anything to do with it but after appearing online it now works perfectly. So make sure you allow everything
    in the privacy settings. Reset your xbox, them turn it on and make sure you appear online. This fixed it for me.

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

    If your settings are all setup correctly it may mean that you don't have an active Xbox Live Gold subscription which is required to play a paid online multiplayer game.

    Please follow the steps below and check if you have an active subscription:

    "Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide, and then select System > Settings > Account > Subscriptions."
