Xbox non caring towards long term members (Rant)

I have owned a Microsoft console since the 360, have purchased multiple Microsoft products including the Xbox one and even upgrading to the one X, Im a gamer at heart and have always tried to convert my P.S. friends to xbox, and have actually converted a
couple of them. I'm very disappointed in Xbox relations towards long term die hard members like myself. I called in because I recently purchased cod ww2 and never played it due to A.C. origins and PUBG and I wanted to try and receive a refund due to no intentions
to play the game any time soon, I hear the game is great but I've been stuck on A.C. and PUBG and I'm loving those games. I understand it was past the return deadline and even though I never played the game they let me know I couldn't receive a refund. I understood
and was not mad, I waited a long time to call in so that's on me, I asked since I could not receive a refund if there was anyway they could issue a token, credit, or to change my Gamer tag for me. I've wanted to change it for a while now but I preferred to
put that $10 twards a game or DLC. To my surprise they could not do anything for me, even Comcast will throw me a bone every once and a while because they appreciate me as a long term client and everyone views them as a greedy company. I understand this is
corp. America and i might sound "entitled" but coming from a business background I was taught to take care of your recurring and heavy spending clients and they'll take care of you. Not going to lie but this incident has greatly changes my point of view towards
this company and am now very turned off to spending money with them I will be very frugal with my spending habits twards xbox. One thing I would like to say to xbox is change the greedy environment and take care of your long term members. not saying you have
to bend over backwards for us but atleast do something small to show us you appreciate our business and that you care for us as your clients. Once again I know this rant might seem like I'm entitled or I'm upset for x,y,z reasons and I don't deserve to be
upset but hopfully some of you can see the underlining message I'm trying bring up. This is just a rant and i want to receive your feedback and see what you think of my situation. Thanks for making it to the end

    Xbox Elite Wireless Controller

Interesting how all of a sudden this controller is not available yet... Did Microsoft grow a conscience? Doubt it, most likely production or delivery issues. But lets wait and see, maybe there's hope for them yet, maybe they might actually start caring
    about their members. Probably not...

LopsidedBoss71: Read the entire posting from beginning to end, you may gain some understanding. Your rant above is not even worth commenting on it is so absurd.

Who cares? That bad boy is going to be 6 TF beast. As long as it's quiet I don't care if it's as big as the Xbox One (non S) cause that's what I have now.

Xbox non caring towards long term members (Rant)

To consider Microsoft greedy, well, I have a thought on that relative to Xbox.

NOTE: It's just users helping other users here.

"I recently purchased cod ww2 and never played it due to A.C. origins and PUBG and I wanted to try and receive a refund"

    - 9. Payment Terms. If you purchase a Service, then these payment terms apply to your purchase and you agree to them.

    - g. Refund Policy. Unless otherwise provided by law or by a particular Service offer, all purchases are final and non-refundable.

"even Comcast will throw me a bone every once"

    - Comcast sells a service that they manage and control

    - Comcast has the option to discount or give away their service

    - Microsoft/Xbox does not own the license for "cod ww2" Activision does. So it's not a product that can just be returned. If Microsoft does refund that game, then Activision still gets their money from the sale of the license and Microsoft is out that money.

"I preferred to put that $10 twards a game or DLC"

    - It's not a "viable" option for Microsoft to just hand out money, since you want to use that money towards a game or content that isn't owned by Microsoft. So in turn, that money is in essence going to Activision if you're wanting to buy their DLC

"coming from a business background I was taught to take care of your recurring and heavy spending clients"

    - Outside the purchase of the console at $200 for a One S or $499 for a One X and let's say $60 for a year of Xbox Live, that's what goes back to Xbox/Microsoft.

    - When you buy a game like call of duty, that's an Activision game. It's Activisions game to manage, control, update and sell. Microsoft just manages the license for the account if you buy the digital copy and you're just using the Xbox to get to the Activison
server. Microsoft is not getting that $60 per game.

    - Then you have Xbox Support, and their Tier 2 support, then the managers for those groups. Plus the supervisors for all of that. Plus the server and software engineers just for the Xbox side of things and Xbox Enforcement and management, media relations,
marketing and so on, and so on.

    - Oh and now figure in 42 countries for Xbox Support, as with any business, it's got to make a profit.

Microsoft does make money, no doubt. But I can't imagine that Xbox makes that much for Microsoft. You'll hear sales numbers touted to instill the public that Xbox is a viable and popular brand but you don't hear them talking about the cost of Xbox. So long
story short, refunds are an additional expense to the bottom line.

Microsoft responds to Xbox One backlash

Well ok the long term plan well for my 500 bucks would you care to educate me MS and Phil just perhaps the lack of information is not the consumers failing. The attitude of MS toward the gaming community that supports them is really getting old its only
    making it worse, so disappointed

How Can Microsoft Own The Internet But Can't Code It's Official Forums?

Maybe it is because they no longer care for community interaction? Given their drive towards a "non-core" audience which would not use a forum, perhaps they dont care what opinions we have so are putting as little effort into this online community as possible?
