  1. Xbox networking on Win 10 pc always switches between open nat type and teredo error...

As mentioned above, when I goto Gaming in Settings, then xbox networking, I'm testing it and for some reason my NAT type either says Open or Teredo. Server connectivity says blocked.
I have been having issues with party chat for quite some time. I still use party chat and play online multiplayer regardless, however, as soon as Back 4 Blood came out on the gamepass, the game has lagged horribly, and it's only this game. When asking in-game players, who are on Xbox or other PC's, they say they don't experience any lag. Even on my Xbox One S there isn't any lag, yet my PC (which, just for information's sake, is above the spec of the Xbox Series X. Every game I play I played maxed graphics, with a 1440p resolution. I've tried lowering all settings to their lowest, and nothing changes. I constantly get disconnected from multiple games however, as well as party chat, for what seems to be no reason.

My question is: After following ALL troubleshooting steps laid out by Microsoft, nothing is fixing it. Not even the "Fix it" button. It'll turn my NAT type to OPEN, but the server connectivity is still blocked. I've checked firewall settings, released and renewed ip address, did sfc scannow, everything checks out except for Xbox Networking.

    :)

Xbox networking on Win 10 pc always switches between open nat type and teredo error message. Either, and it says server connectivity is blocked.

    Hello GunmetalLink11,

Thank you for reaching out to us with your issue!

First, are you utilizing a VPN? If so, try disabling or uninstalling to see if it helps. If that doesn't solve your issue, can you verify that your time is set automatically on your device?:

    1. Click the Start button (Windows logo) and select "Settings"
    2. Select "Time & Language" and then click "Date & Time"
Enable "Set Time Automatically" and restart your device.

If you are still having trouble, here is a solution that may resolve your problem:

    1. Right-click on the Windows icon.
    2. Select Command Prompt (Admin).
    3. In the User Account Control pop-up window, confirm your choice.
    4. In the new window, enter the following commands, pressing Enter after each:

      ipconfig / flushdns

      ipconfig / registerdns

      ipconfig / release

      ipconfig / renew

      netsh winsock reset
Once you've finished you can restart your machine and check your connectivity status.

    Can’t connect to wireless network

    Hi TestyJungle8619,

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums for this issue concerning
Teredo. Teredo is a networking protocol that’s used to establish secure communications between clients and servers, and to facilitate
connectivity between devices behind routers that use network address translation (NAT). Without a
Teredo IP address, you’ll be unable to use party chat or do multiplayer gaming on Xbox Live. Generally, this is a setting in your router that can be toggled on/off.

To get your Teredo to qualify, I would recommend the troubleshooting solutions available from the following support articles to get yourself back in the game:

If using a Windows 10 PC:

NAT type on Windows 10 displays "Teredo is unable to qualify"

Xbox Live server connectivity on Windows 10 is blocked

If on an Xbox One console:

NAT type on Windows 10 displays "Teredo is unable to qualify"

Xbox One Multiplayer Connection Error Solution

Give the solutions and troubleshooting a try and let us know the results.

I hope that this helps out!

Coms only working in Xbox party, support helped me fix, and mid game went back to not working.

    Hello Dustin,

We understand you are still having issues with playing Fortnite and Sea of Thieves. Let’s continue troubleshooting to ensure a consistent experience:
    Check NAT Type:

    • Your NAT type plays a crucial role in multiplayer gaming and party chat. Make sure your NAT type is set to Open for optimal connectivity.
    • To check your NAT type:
      • Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
      • Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings.
      • Look for the NAT Type field. It should ideally display Open.
    1. Teredo IP Address:
      • Teredo is essential for secure communications between clients and servers. If your console encounters issues obtaining a Teredo IP address, it can affect party chat and multiplayer games.
      • If you encounter any of these error messages:
        • NAT Type: Unavailable
        • Can’t get a Teredo IP address
        • Error code 0x89231906
      • Follow the steps in the official Xbox support guide to troubleshoot Teredo-related issues.
      • If the issue still persists, we highly suggest connecting to a different network to see if there's any changes.
    I hope this helps.

    Sincerely,
