    Xbox needs to make a over the phone option for whom can’t recover their account.


    Serously Xbox I can’t recover my old account becuase something is broken and I should be able to prove that it is my old 360 account over the phone. This garbage recovery system needs help so I can have my s@$” again. Basically it won’t let me even put in
    the right experiation date to get it back. It would be easier if I still had the phone number , email and card but that card expired years ago.

    Your Microsoft account name

    You will be given different options to have a password reset link sent to you.

    If you can’t reset your Microsoft account password by using the reset options provided, you can recover access to your Microsoft account by completing an online account recovery form. To do this, go to Recover
    your Microsoft account     and follow the steps to complete the form to recover your account.

    Phone support can't help with WLID. If he doesn't know the information, the last option is with the password reset - choose customer support. That gets you in touch with the Windows Live support. They're the only ones who can help get a password reset.

    You can make your profile before his gets sorted out. If he's going to be the primary account holder, he'll recover your profile, add you to the family pack and then you can recover it back.

    To recover an account, you want to go to My Xbox, choose sign in (or if you're signed in, select your avatar and then go to switch profile), all the way to the right and recover gamertag. You need the WLID and password to do this.

    The primary account holder will also need their password to add anyone to the pack.

    You'll have to use external verification methods to recover your information. If you linked your prior account with a former email, see if that email is set up with a newer one for recovery. If so use that method to recover your credentials. If that's
    unattainable then try calling and see if you can provide any info to verify the account that wouldn't involve email, cc or phone. Best of luck!

    Can't delete Outlook with current Live account?

    You can transfer it to a new Microsoft Account, you'd need to make the new account at signup.live.com, then go onto your Xbox and go to Settings -> Account -> Account Security. From there there will be a Change Microsoft Account option, follow the steps
    there.

    If you have a Windows Phone purchases of Windows Phone apps won't carry over to the new account.

    What I’m asking is why can’t we recover our accounts with a landline phone? Like I said, I created the account when landline phones were still very common so why take away that ability?
