    Xbox Music screws up with own albums


    Yesterday I was chocked when I turned my PC on and started Xbox Music.

    Almost every record was split up into multiple records and labeled unknown.

    This set me off, since I have used a lot of time sorting, indexing and getting all my records to display correct.

    For some reason, the meta data and album info retrieval feature started to screw up big time.

    Same goes for duplicating my existing records with cloud records.

    Is this going to be fixed or should I look for another service like ITunes or Spotify?

    780 albums might not be much, but it is *** annoying when you used a lot of time to arrange them correct because an app (Xbox Music) can't do so automatically, and then the same app screws everything up!

    Xbox music mess

    Here is my issue with Xbox Music and windows 8 phones...So far I am loving my windows phone and not missing the iPhone with one exception, my music. ITunes seemed to work flawlessly however all the extra steps to sync music to the iPhone was frustrating.
    Xbox music is so simple but my issues arises with the W8 phone. I sync my albums to the phone and the albums are a mess! Songs are out of order, MULTIPLE albums are split in two so I can not listen to a whole album. Songs missing here and there. Album covers
    don't come up. How do I get my albums put back together! Please Xbox music catch up with iTunes because I don't want to switch back.

    Can Windows 8 phone music dloads play on my Xbox?

    I've d-loaded several albums from the music store to my phone. I would like to play them on my xbox. Is it possible? I own the songs and albums but xbox music store on the xbox doesn't show them as a purchase.

    Windows 8 Xbox Music app won't recognize library-mounted music on an external device.

    I have a similar problem... I am trying to get the xbox music app to 'see' the music on my NAS. I got that sort of working by creating a 'symbolic link' between my library and the network location... (you are not making things easy...)

    But now the win8 XBOX Music app only shows some of the albums. I am guessing that only the albums that are available in the 'store' show up but somehow there must be a way to get them to show up? I own this music after all... THe weird thing that I can
    actually navigate to the files from within the app ('open file') but then I get some sort of uncomprehensible error message. Any help/suggestions? thanks!

    Music Library Displaying Multiple Duplicate Songs.

    I'm glad I'm not crazy! I'm having the same problem! I bought an SD card because 16GB is not enough space for music, apps, and photos on my 1520, and I can't afford to stream my music all the time. I am seeing multiple duplicates for songs I've downloaded
    to my SD card. Some of them even have different metadata and post themselves to different albums! I tried to fix this by deleting everything I downloaded and wiping the SD card, but that made everything worse! Now, I'm missing music and, on top of that, some
    of my albums have split themselves up into multiple albums (I'm talking one album per song on a single album!) I really don't want to have to perform a hard reset, but the Xbox Music app is so buggy and stores everything in its own isolated storage on the
    phone with no option to save it to the SD card, so it looks like this may be my only option to fix the damage caused.

    Not all albums will be covered by the music pass for download. Some albums will still be a purchase only option. Do you only see this happening with a few albums or with all of them? Have you updated your Xbox Music pass

    Xbox Music Pass and albums not being free

    Music rights are dependent on the company that owns the licensing rights, so some albums and songs have different rights than others. Now when you say you can play the song when you search for it individually, is it off the same album?

    I do have music CDs yes. I would have the Albums in CDs that I have on itunes but I didn't have the money to buy them (Yeah I wont lie I torrented those albums)

    Though when I get the money I will probably buy those albums since I like them.
