  1. Xbox Music Pass not syncing playlist from PC


    I have just started the 30 day trial for Xbox Music Pass. I have connected both my Windows 8.1 PC and Windows Phone 8 to the pass. I have set both the applications settings to use the Cloud collection.

    On my PC I created a playlist. The playlist instantly appeared on my Windows Phone. On my PC I added some songs to the playlist from the catalog. The playlist on my phone is empty. I logged into Web Server's Default Page and
    can see the songs there. The icon appears beside the songs that say they are synced to the cloud, but on my phone still has 0 songs in the playlist.

    What do I need to do to have the songs appear in my Windows Phone playlist?

    XBOX Music Playlist Question

    Hi. I have a question that I have yet to find a definitive answer to... When I create a playlist in XBOX Music on my PC/Surface using music from the XBOX Music store, those playlists appear on XBOX and my other devices within seconds. However, these playlists
    do not appear on my WP8 (Lumia 1020) device. I am a music pass subscriber. I also know that I can sync them thru the Windows Phone app. My question is more about the automatic syncing that occurs over the air. Do playlists created on Windows 8.1 devices sync
    through the cloud to WP8 device?

    xbox music pass not associating devices

    I just bought a new windows 8 machine, an Xbox 360, and an HTC windows 8X phone. I purchased a Gold membership and a years worth of Xbox Music Pass. I can play music on all 3 three of them but my Playlist content is not syncing with my phone. The playlist
    show up, but there are no songs. I went to my account information to see what devices are associated with Xbox Music Pass and only my PC shows up. I have search the support site and get nothing. Any ideas?

    You would need to be an Xbox Music subscriber to use the Cloud-based features of the Xbox Music app. Things like syncing playlists. You do have access to the music you purchased without the Music Pass, and can re-create the playlist on a different device
    manually.

    When is MS going to allow me to use xbox music pass playlists to SYNC the music between my windows 8 pc and my window phone 8 SO that the music is stored on the wp8 device SO I am not paying ATT broadband fees every time I want to play music pass music?

    Zune had this feature - the music would be local on the phone or zunehd device but expire after about a month IF the device didn't reconnect to the Zune software - truly the best of both worlds..

    What I think is also not mentioned in any of the official MS work arounds is: running Windows Media Player, Zune, xbox music metro app cause PLAYLISTS to DUPLICATE and TRIPLICATE on your PC... Zune re-creates WMP playlists, then WMP fights back and XBOX
    finds them BOTH... UGGGGG

    Sync DRM XBox Music to Windows Phone 8

    There have been some hiccups in DRM with syncing to a Windows Phone 8. Interestingly, this is sometimes associated to the hidden cache data on the phone.

    What I had to do to fix a similar problem was delete the music from the phone, turn on hidden files and folders, and delete the contents of the four hidden folders (playlists seems to be optional). After that's done, try restarting the phone and syncing
    the music again. It might take a few minutes for the drm to sync back up with your account.

    Another option is to create a playlist of all music in the Zune software and then use the Windows Phone app for Desktop to sync the playlist to your phone. Once it's been synced, you can delete the playlist .PLA file out of the hidden playlist folder. This
    seems to remove the DRM that associates the music to a particular account (but still identifies it as Music Pass content) and let's you play it right away.

    The cloud syncing to the phone has been a little iffy since it's launch. What the tech support for Xbox Music will tell you is to make sure the tracks you are adding are part of the Cloud. Please note that Music Pass content is not automatically added to
    the Cloud.

    If you're making a playlist out of Music Pass content and that is not syncing, the music has to be added to the Cloud collection, usually through Xbox Music on Windows 8.
