    Xbox Music loads wrong album information


    Hello,

    I imported some CDs and added some Information like cover etc.

    Media Player shows that correctly. Xbox Music searches in the same locations for my collection, but there's one CD, the app somehow associated with a wrong album. The app shows a wrong cover and doesn't even load all tracks.

    So my question is: How can I tell the program to simply load cover and other information of the tracks from my hard drive and not search for it online?

    How to manually set album/track info in Xbox Music?

    Although my music library is correctly tagged and identified in the Zune desktop software, a significant portion of my music has incorrect or missing track information in the Xbox Music app. While the "match album info" button works for albums with
    incorrect information, it is not robust enough to fix groups of "unknown album info" wherein several albums are mixed together. Is there a way to manually configure the media information tags, or at least a workaround? I'd really like to take advantage of
    the new features such as cloud synchronization and support the new service, but this transition will be difficult if I'm missing nearly 1/4 of my music's tagging info and with another large portion with incorrect tags.

    Furthermore, although I have correctly attributed album information to a large portion of my collection, on computer restart the album info seems to have reverted to the point before information was added, which is really annoying.

    I had a similar problem just after buying in album in Xbox music. My WP8 downloaded the files immediately but I did something wrong and deleted it.

    I tried to download again but it showed me options to buy it again. Then, 4 days later the Xbox system realized that a bought that album and now let me download or stream that music.

    Lots of 'My Music' recognized as 'Unknown Artist'

    So are these songs from Spotify? If so, that might be the issue. For some reason, the information transferring to the Windows 8 Layout is different. Can you currently edit any of the information of the track for now? Unless it is from Xbox Music and Video,
    they won't show complete information of the music albums or tracks.

    Thanks for pointing us to that. We're still looking into finding some info to share about the availability of tracks on the Xbox Music service.



    There was a "Ween" album - God Ween Satan that I wanted to stream and ran into the same thing. That particular album was published by a different publisher than the rest of their library of albums, though.



    Ultimately, it is up to the publisher whether or not content can be made available through the Xbox Music Pass. Albums like the Norah Jones album, with multiple artists could be a sticky wicket when it comes to the publishing licenses.
