    XBOX Music $cannot sign on?$


    when I try to open my XBOX Music app i get a "sign up with xbox" prompt in the top right hand corner(?) instead of "signed in"

    when i tap on the "sign up with xbox" prompt I get a dialog box "to continue, create an XBOX profile"

    when I tap on "I accept", I get the "sign up with xbox" prompt in the top right hand corner(?) again

    when I tap on "cancel", I get the "sign up with xbox" prompt in the top right hand corner(?) again

    when I tap on "Already have an XBOX profile?", I am instructed to tap on cancel and sign on to my Microsoft Account which I do, but this does not seem to lead me anywhere(?)

    My XBOX Music pass is paid up thru Feb '17, so that is not the problem(?) I have tried "uninstall" & "re-install" twice but no luck. HELP! Thanks, LS

    Plex app for XB1 launching tomorrow 10/7; 360 will follow shortly

    Just signed up for Plex and tested some music on it and it works great. I might cancel my Xbox Music subscription for this.

    Hi Jueno! Did you sign up for the Xbox Music trial on your Xbox? Also, there is no online streaming site for Xbox Music. You must use the Xbox Music application.

    Sorry but you cannot share an xbox music account between profiles.

    However, if you have an Xbox One and an Xbox 360 a gamertag can be signed into both consoles at the same time.

    Capt Canuck nailed it. If you are not signed in with a Microsoft Account, you will have what is called a Local Account, which means you cannot access the Marketplace, or any other online features, such as Xbox Music.

    Also, for some clarity, you don't get a free 6 months to Xbox Music when you purchase Windows 8. What you do get is 6 months of free streaming, with a 10 hour/month limit. You can refer to the

    I want to switch

    The account for my Zune is the SAME account that I use for my xbox gamer tag. If I use the method above to switch my gamertag to my outlook.com account what affect will this have on my zune account. I do not use a zune pass I have just purchased random music
    with it. And no I cannot sign in to the xbox music with a different account without totally signing out of windows and signing back in, which I do not want to do for obvious reasons. I just want my music and gamer tag on my new outlook.com account.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but the first post in this thread is how to do that right? Well what effect will this have on the music side of the account?

    On the Xbox console, you cannot download any of the music, it's a streaming only service. On a PC and Windows Phone you should able to download the music.
