XBOX Music - Artists and albums available via XBOX music on PC not available via XBOX Music on ...

The music pass isn't intended for downloading, only to listen to music and specific artists via stream from XBox Music.

If you are using Xbox Music via the web then the radio function is not available on there. Same goes for the iPhone app. You can use the radio feature on Xbox Music via Windows 8 or on your Xbox 360 console.

What about the notification feature though? Does this seem plausible?

Like if you could set alerts for when new music becomes available from your favorite artists much like a message alert comes up. Keep in mind this would have to be enabled by the user so you wouldn't be getting ads from it, just music alerts that you want.
iTunes has an alert feature that emails you the week an artist has music released and I think Xbox could take it a step further.

It could be like, "New Music Available from Justin Timberlake on Xbox Music" or "The 20/20 Experience Part 2 from Justin Timberlake is Now Available on Xbox Music"

Thanks for pointing us to that. We're still looking into finding some info to share about the availability of tracks on the Xbox Music service.



There was a "Ween" album - God Ween Satan that I wanted to stream and ran into the same thing. That particular album was published by a different publisher than the rest of their library of albums, though.



Ultimately, it is up to the publisher whether or not content can be made available through the Xbox Music Pass. Albums like the Norah Jones album, with multiple artists could be a sticky wicket when it comes to the publishing licenses.

This whole "Music Pass" deal continues to annoy me to no avail ever since they startedslowly pushing Zune out the door, when I already have my own $ to spend on muic. Why can't we just purchase individual tracks, albums, music
videos, etc via XBox One? (I'd recently asked support about this and they pretty much confirmed that tracks and album purchases won't be on XBox One) I don't have Windows 8, can't really use Zune anymore since pts are no more, and I'm definitely not paying
for music I'm not going to listen to, unlimited makes no difference.
