Kindly sign in to https://account.microsoft.com/services using all Microsoft accounts that you own where you may have subscribed before. Once you locate the subscription you can simply manage it from there.

The usual issue is that it wasn't able to charge your card initially. So the charge for your monthly sub occurred later than normal for that previous month. And now its trying to charge for your current month. Rarely are you "double charged" unless you have
another account with a monthly gold sub.

Contact Xbox Support to confirm

You'll have to get in contact with support again as that's not true.

If you are on a monthly sub & then get a 3 month sub it shouldn't charge you for both,it should automatically switch to charging you monthly to 3 monthly.

Shall have a look in the ToU later but to my knowledge what they said about manually cancelling the monthly sub isn't in there.
