Xbox Mobile App Crash On First Time Start Up, Can't Continue with App after Downloading Update

Skip the set up with app option and set it up directly from the console. Or you can perform a factory reset and then use the app again.

- Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

- Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

- Select Reset console.

What i ended up doing is the hard rest, but when it asks to use the app to start (entering the numbers), i skipped this bit. It then went to the update section again, but it started the validation section which it did not do before and after that everything worked smoothly.

During the validation part of the update, it will ask to continue with app, but eventually this changes and gets ignored. You just end up doing it all manually and through a pc link to sync your account.

How do you get to this from the update screen? Ours did the same but we force-reset it and now it just stays stuck on the “please continue on app” screen

My Motorola is up to date, and I can sign in to My XBox on my mobile as well as the XBox app on PC. I also have no trouble with MS rewards or Outlook app on my mobile. But I absolutely can't access XBox or Gamepass apps from my mobile. I click continue, nothing happens, I click it more than once after waiting several minutes, it says I tried to access it too many times.

It is an Xbox 360 console. I have cleared the cache a few times, yes. Whenever I re-downloaded the update after clearing the cache, the same issue persisted.

Also it is not just the issue of no sound, the game crashes the console completely on start up with the update.

Continuing without the update the game is fine.
