Xbox Minecraft Addon Purchase Not Available To Other Family Profile

Although I don't have a trouble shoot for this issue of yours, maybe I can help by giving you some insight.

Firstly, make sure the account that has the live, and games and things that you want access to every account, make sure it is definitly set as home xbox account, firstly.

Now, if this is working then you should have access to all content UNLESS it is content that the developer states is not shareable. Content like this include, but are not limited to; in-game currency, game boosts, game buffs, ect.

So maybe the marketplace content you speak of is possibly set under one of those criteria. From my personal experience things like maps and texture packs are hit or miss if I can access them on another account, whereas skins I cannot access on another account.

The ability to shame the in-game content is up to the developers so not everything can be shared as far as that is concerned.

If you were to cancel Game Pass, no accounts would be able to play the game pass games anymore unless they were purchased. You could still purchase the game 1 time on your account and share them with the other profiles.

it's sad to see Minecraft is an example of "developer choice" to not allow content be shared, since minecoins can ONLY be purchased with real money, and guess what: minecraft is from mahjong, a
microsoft company.

so bad decision for a company that encourages a great family control/share system, just to mention.

also, i realized here now that i can't play minecraft on my windows 10 without another purchase, since it's not a "play everywhere" app. in my opinion, another bad decision, since Minecraft is a perfect game to be "play everywhere", and technically is easy
to do it.

so, if me and my son play Minecraft, and we want to play on console and windows desktop at home, we have to:

- buy console minecraft game (or keep game pass) and share the game here;

- buy windows 10 minecraft game for me;

- buy another windows minecraft game copy for my son, since even the windows 10 app can't be shared by other windows 10 profile like we have with xbox home console;

- buy a world FOUR times: 2 for our 2 profiles on console, and 2 more for our other profiles on desktop.

TOTAL: 3 minecraft game purchases + 4 addon purchases, to play 2 family members in 2 home devices.

(i won't mention i would probably have to purchase mobile edition too, but i didn't check this yet)

that's a lot of money to have fun with a single game for a family and to play an UWP game on console and desktop.

i can guess this is a commercial decision, maybe to get back faster all 2.5 bi dollars spent to buy mahjong years ago.

Sorry to hear it. If your console is not set as your HOME console then she won't be able to access the maps that came with the download. Head over to Settings to ensure that the console is set as your HOME.

Yes, it is set as my home console. I've also since removed her account from the console, deleted the dlc, then reinstalled both her account followed by the dlc back to the console, neither of which had any impact.
