Xbox/Microsoft account email changed randomly and I lost access to the account.

Around 8-9 years ago I lost access to my original Xbox account out of no where. When I try to log into it I can see that the email was changed to an email I never created. It is the email I had on the account but it was changed to an @outlook.com email even though I never created it. I’ve tried multiple times to recover the account but I keep being told that I don’t have enough information to give. I’ve spent money on the account so this is still something I would like to recover. Can anyone help me with this? I’d really appreciate it.

First thing you need to do is to recover your account:
http://support.xbox.com/my-account/microsoft-account/lost-password-solution

If that does not work, you may contact Xbox Support for other options to recover your account: http://support.xbox.com/contact-us

Once you have access on your Microsoft Account, you can change your sign-in email address: http://support.xbox.com/my-account/microsoft-account/change-email-sign-in-for-microsoft-account

You can change the email of your Xbox account and unlink it from the current email but that would delete the email as a Microsoft account, so unless the email is from a different email provider you will lost access to hat email
