    Hi guys,

    i can't get any mic to work on my sons xbox 1S, i can get sound through it but just cant talk to anyone. i know the headset works as it works on my other sons Xbox. nothing is muted on the settings, all controllers are up to date.

    Is the mic an xbox usb mic or just a 3rd party mic? If it's 3rd party it may not work with the titles properly.

    My mic usually has the same problem, but my Xbox Controller's mic port is causing the problem. Either the controller mic port could be their issue, the mic plug-in cord, or the mic in general. Feedback has also had issues with constant screeches.

    Mic sensitivity

    is it your mic that is too loud or is it other people you are in a party with?

    to adjust the sensitivity of the mic, press the Xbox button on the controller then press RB 3 times to get to the System tab and select Audio from the options there.

    this will allow you to turn down mic monitoring so your mic is less sensitive.

    if it is other people in your party who have their mics too sensitive then they will have to adjust the mic monitoring on their Xbox
