Xbox message said it was gonna fund my account 6$ but never did on 11/13/14

As mentioned in the subject line it said it was gonna fund my other account (currently wrongfully banned even after talking to support) $6 on my console and on my computer when im under my messages. I keep checking and it has nothing there. Do i have to
do something special first or what? Message reads something along the lines of having issues with xbox video and to enjoy a video on them we credited your account with $6. Anyone else having these problems

Unable to use credit

On 11/13/14 my husband received a message from xbox stating $6 would be deposited into his account due to connectivity issues. We went to use this credit to download extra content for L4D2 that costed $6.99. We tried with L4D and L4D2 through the xbox live
marketplace and were not able to use the credit. After calling xbox support today we have now learned that the $6 was never deposited into the account. I was told to post a message on the forums by Kayleigh from xbox live support.

Credits not being added to account balance

I don't believe the credits are being added to my account balance. It shows on the purchase history but I usually know how much credit I have and it never goes up unless I buy a card. I believe I am missing these credits.

Sorry to hear it. However, it seems as though the issue lies with the account being banned. When an account has been banned you lose access to all items associated with that account. This includes Gold memberships, games purchased and currency.

My main account is only bane don the forums and the last time they messed up they gave my account the 6$ credit. It's only banned/suspended on the forums exclusively. I don't know was hoping to rent Tammy with it but whatever i guess

If your account is active and support promised you a credit then you will need to contact phone support to deal with them.

Ok my name is Craig Ryan I got a message from Xbox Live on 11/12/13 at 8:29pm saying "Expires in 20 days."And I just viewed this message an hour ago. But on my account my Xbox Live Gold Membership doesnt expire until 2/1/14.
