xbox media remote sends duplicate digits to Rng150n

My Xbox One sends spurrious additional digits when changing channels. this is intermittent. example, i choose channel 414 from the one guide, xbox sometimes sends 414, but half the time it will send 4144 and takes me to an invalid channel. I have repositioned
the ir blaster including placing i right against the sensor in the cable box. Any thoughts?

Kinect sends multiple (duplicate) digits to my Verizon box when changing channels.

I just upgraded from day one to elite. Day one worked fine. But mine is a Comcast RNG150N. Send double the signals. I've tried old remote code and multiple others. Everything either doesn't do anything or sends the signal twice. I do a lot of watching
on it and this is a let down.

Xbox One Media Remote not working on PIN Passcode Sign in screen since Feb update

Ever since the Feb Software update you can no longer use the Media Remote to sign in at the PIN screen.

It will not let you use the Play/Pause, Stop, Next Track, Previous Track, Forward, Back buttons to select the 0-9 digits on the pin number passcode screen.

This worked perfectly before the Feb Update.

Issues is with all profiles, even with a new profile.

Media Remote buttons all work fine in other apps like xbox music etc.

Have done a full system restart, replaced batteries, everything.

The Feb update has broken the ability of the Media Remote to be used to sign in!

Follow up in case this helps anyone. I resolved this by repositioning my ir blaster much further away from the sensor. All docs I saw indicated placing the blaster as directly in front of the sensor as possible, the closer the better. I tried further away.

Scan for a TV code

You can send a sequence of codes to from your remote to your TV to find the right code for your TV, if you do not know it.

Turn on your TV and point the media remote toward it.
Press and hold the Mute and 5 buttons simultaneously for two seconds to enter TV programming mode.
Press the Channel Up button repeatedly to send one code per button press from your media remote to your TV. By pressing Channel Up, you advance the code each time.
When the correct code is sent from the media remote to your TV, your TV will turn off. Press the Select button to confirm your code.
