Xbox making static clicking noises on chat

No changes were made before. We have since tried changing consoles etc and its doing to all but only his acct

Should have said this- I have tried the portable wifi to and the houses one and still does it.

The only thing that we haven't tried yet is trying a different network connection. Would it be okay if you try one? A mobile hotspot will do and please make sure to perform a powercycle first before testing it out.

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

Thank you so much for the detailed information, can you please check the NAT Type of both consoles? It can be due to the network as well.

Settings > General > Network Settings > Test NAT Type.

Let me know if it's OPEN, MODERATE, or STRICT.

As I said- we changed consoles and its doing it on the next console to. So it isnt consoles. We however did what you suggested anyway and no it didnt work.

We even went and got a whole new head set. Still doing it.

He signed in on my account and I used his and it did it to my acct (so his xbox not mine) so it isnt his actual account.

So far weve worked out

- isnt the head set, we tried multiple and does it to all

- is doing it to both his xbox one x and xbox one s. Both these xboxs are updated etc

- the series x is working fine

- it isnt specifically his acct as it does it to my acct when he signs in on the one x and one s

- it isnt game related. E.g. does it on main screens to
