Xbox Live Trial Codes from Old Xbox 360 games Mislabeled

A long time ago I purchased a number of xbox 360 games including Halo Reach, Halo 4, and Halo Anniversary edition. All three games had a Xbox Live gold code.

Halo 4 had a free 14 day Xbox Live Gold trial and even in the fine print says that it is a xbox live gold membership. Not a membership exclusively applied to only Halo 4. I redeemed the code on my xbox one, it went through but I do not have xbox live gold.

Halo Anniversary pack had a 2 Day Gold Trial. I input the code on my xbox one and it was accepted. I do not have xbox live gold but seemingly it only applies itself to Halo Anniversary despite not being advertised as such.

The Halo Reach code would not even go through. Seemingly it was redeemed in the past by a family member's account, however, when checking it despite the card advertising a free membership alongside whatever spartan recon helmet in game content it provided,
it only provides the in game content.

How is this right, to advertise a free xbox live gold trial membership when in fact it only applies to a specific game? Is it possible that someone could help me receive the xbox live trial I was hoping for.

• Prepaid codes for Xbox Live Gold trial subscriptions are only available in select games and bundles.
• You can’t access Games with Gold for the Xbox 360 with this type of Xbox Live Gold trial subscription.
• You can’t stack prepaid codes for Xbox Live Gold trial subscriptions from games or console bundles. This means that you can’t start another trial period before your current trial period has finished. However, you can purchase a new paid Xbox Live Gold subscription
  and start the subscription at any time during the trial period.
• If you don’t currently have a paid Xbox Live Gold subscription, there is no limit to the number of times you can use this type of Xbox Live Gold trial subscription.

Sorry, but that is the way those trials work so there's really nothing anyone else can do. Trials don't change your account status to gold and don't give you full gold benefits. They're only meant to let you try out online multiplayer and even then will
only work with certain game modes or games.

 

That makes sense, but then why advertise differently? No where in the fine print on any of the codes describe or even say what you just said or what I learned earlier today from the support tech I spoke with earlier. To me it just doesn't make sense.

If its a trial and it has certain limitations, shouldn't those limitations be properly labeled instead of misrepresented as 'xbox live free membership for this duration' with no limitations? That is what doesn't make sense to me
