    Xbox live tenure not updating on profile


    My profile tenure for Xbox live hasn't updated in more than a year and a half. It's stuck at 20 even though should be at 21 about 6 months ago if it's every full year. I've used prepaid cards to pay for some months, but don't think that would effect it because it would be lower than the 20 it's stuck at now I would think. Is this a common issue?

    You will not lose your tenure if you go to Xbox One. The tenure is linked to your Xbox Live Gold Subscription, which can be used for both 360 and One. To check your tenure on Xbox One, just go to your profile (selecting it from the Home screen or selecting
    your profile at the top) and when viewing your profile you will see your Tenure to the left.

    There has been a recent update regarding tenure, here is a quote explaining this new update:



    "Tenure is based on the cumulative amount of Xbox LIVE Gold time a user has. While you do not lose tenure when you go Silver, Xbox LIVE Silver time does not accrue tenure. You will see your tenure increase only when the year of Xbox LIVE Gold time
    has finished.

    For your first year of Xbox LIVE Gold you will see a '0' and increase to '1' year of tenure when that year is up! For example, if you've had Xbox LIVE Gold for 3 years and 6 months, you'll see a tenure of '3' next to your Gamertag."



    However, there is an issue (of which is on-going) that is being looked in to currently. If you view Miss Kleo's Updates on the

    Xbox LIVE Tenure Issue     - any new updates will be posted there! Also, Official support may post here and tell you whether your tenure is correct or if you are facing this issue.

    How many years on XBL in my profile is wrong...

    Anyone who is concerned with the "off" Tenure Number, keep in mind when you Joined Xbox LIVE via the Console itself you were given One Month Free Trial Gold. This does not count for Tenure and is most of the reason why most Profiles
    take an additional 30 Days (or so) to Update.
