This has always been the case, even if you don't have sky broadband. One person can be watching live football on sky player while another is watching it live via the sky box. Although this doesn't seem to relate to the OP.

I don't think so. You were not able to watch live TV, unless you had SKY multiroom or SKY broadband.

If you have Sky and an active Xbox Live sub, you can download the Sky Go app for free on your Xbox 360 and stream live channels. You also get on demand content as well.

That link is for setting up your Windows Media Center Extender for the console, you don't need to do that to use Facebook and Sky on your console. For information of how to use Sky and Facebook on your console, follow these links:

how to set up SKY on your Xbox 360 console.

To set up SKY on your Xbox 360, follow these steps:

1. On your console, sign in with your Xbox LIVE gamertag (Xbox LIVE Gold Membership required).
2. Go to Apps, and then select Apps Marketplace.
3. Browse for Sky.
4. Select Sky to download and install the app.
