Xbox Live Services - multiple account issue

I use 2 Microsoft accounts - one is 20+years old used for email/correspondence/shopping, etc and the other was created as an account linked to a gamertag and used solely for gaming.

So anyway I log into Windows 10 on my PC with the ancient account and into the Xbox app with my one and only gamertag account...

So you'd think that the Xbox app (a gaming app after all) would assign all games to the gamertag account that's logged into the Xbox app - that is gaming tracking stats and ownership of purchases, etc....

WRONG!!!

Xbox Live Games seem to work flawlessly within the Xbox app and use the gamertag thats logged into the app which is good because it tracks all the stats and also which account actually owns the software, etc

But games like Minesweeper/Jigsaw don't use the account that's logged into Xbox - they use the account that's currently logged into the PC - which totally complicates things...

And don't get me talking about Minecraft Java / Windows 10 Beta versions because the ownership of the IP and running of games/assigned accounts is just weird and too hard to explain here...

So why does this happen - why can't all games just use the Xbox account?

I have a suggestion on how to improve GWG

Here's why it won't work. Let's say the average price of a game is $10 Australian (that's being under, it would likely be more). That's $120 a year. Xbox Live here costs $60 a year at full retail. I don't see MS giving out double what you pay for the online service in credit. Hell, I'd set up multiple accounts with gold knowing each year I could buy 2 games for the price of one per account.

Xbox Live service charges are there to support the xbox live infrastructure and security of both your account and the service as a whole.

while it is frustrating free to play games sometimes need Gold to play online, there are multiple variables that require a paid subcription.

I have looked back at the error code and according to them "These messages may mean one of the following:

There's a temporary problem with the Xbox Live service.

Your Xbox Live account has been temporarily blocked because the system detected suspicious activity.

The profile stored on your Xbox 360 console is corrupt.

Another profile has signed in"

With multiple reports in regard to the same error code or issue, it can be a temporary problem with the Xbox Live Service since we have performed all the necessary steps.
