Xbox live service on IP address 65.55.42.42 not reachable from some European networks

Hello,

as some others, I am not able to login to xbox live since the 14th. I have found that during login to xbox live, console tries to connect to IP address 65.55.42.42 via KRB5 protocol. this address is not reachable from my ISP network. My IP address is 176.74.134.205.

For other people - check if you can ping 65.55.42.42(xeas.gtm.xboxlive.com). If not, you are affected by the same problem.

I can successfully ping this IP address and I am able to login to xbox live from other network (t-mobile Czech Republic)

Strict NAT Issues. Please Help

A static IP address is not necessarily the same thing as a public IP address. However, a static IP address can be public and a public IP address can be static.

What it sounds like to me is the apartment complex is going to give you a static private IP address on their network where they can do configuration on your address to allow gaming from that IP address on their network.

 

DNS Error

Then something is probably mixed up in your laptops routing table. Can you try just for testing purposes, if your console is able to connect properly directly to your router?

Additionally, to further troubleshoot the issue:

What is the IP address of the laptops interface that goes to the router?

What is the IP address that is assigned to the interface that goes to the Xbox?

What IP address does the Xbox have?

And finally, what default gateway does the Xbox show?

Since you connect through a router, all these adresses should be from a private IP range (i.e. usually 192.168.xxx.yyy or 10.xxx.yyy.zzz, and if the devices are auto-negotiating in the Zero-Conf IP space it is 196.254.xxx.yyy) and are not reachable from the
outside internet. So it is safe to post the IP adresses here.

Same problem here.

Still not working althou on service alert page its ok.
