Xbox rewards program updated

Many of you may remember how due to the change from Microsoft points to actual currency, the rewards program was shut down. Well it's now back with a whole new reward scheme. Awarding gamers with everything from currency credit to discounts on purchases. The basic idea is everything you do gives you point and then eventually you can redeem said points in exchange for in-store currency. Your get points for doing everything from making purchases to simply playing games. Gamers with a high gamerscore even get a discount on purchases.

Credits are deposited into your account by the following 15th or 30th of the month after you have at least 5,000 credits pending. If you have at least 1,000 pending, but less than 5,000, you can request a deposit and they will be deposited into your account
on the date listed on the site at the time that you make the request.

What about my current Xbox Live Rewards Credits and MyVIP Gems balance?

If you have any pending Rewards Credits in your Xbox Live Rewards account on May 31, 2018, or if you are expecting your MyVIP deposit for purchases made in May, 2018, Xbox Live Rewards will convert them into your local currency and deposit them in your Microsoft
account by June 30, 2018. You will then have 1 year to spend that currency on digital items from the Microsoft Store.

You will be able to see your deposit as currency on the Microsoft Commerce page.

Sorry for your trouble. Currency cards should not expire only the money that you receive from doing such things like Xbox Live Rewards or Bing Rewards will expire. Currency that your using from your own wallet shouldn't expire though.
