Xbox live rewards and backwards compatible games

hi,

I was hoping one of the mods could help me. Several backwards compatible games purchased through xbox.com but never seem to recieve rewards points. Are these games not valid in the rewards program?

Backwards compat game achievements not being added to XB Live gamer score

Since August, any backwards compatible 360 games I have played, the achievements unlocked are not being added to the gamer score on Xbox Live. This happens whether I am playing backward compatible games from Gold membership, EA membership, or digital purchases.
Yes, I am connected to Xbox Live. I have restarted and even reset my Xbox One. I make sure I am always signed in to my gamer tag. However, the gamer score still does not update with the backwards compatible unlocked achievements.

Fable 1 is not backward compatible - please check this list for backward compatible games on Xbox One.

In order to receive credits, your purchases either have to be eligible for a specific offer on the site at the time, or you need at least 1 star level in order to receive VIP rebates. So it depends on what offers are running at the time that you make the
purchases.

Also you can not buy backwards compatible games on xbox one with microsoft reward points or gift cards.

Hello Gabriel,

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. You can most definitely do this if you are playing backwards compatible games. If the game is on 360, and also on the Xbox one as a backwards compat title, then you guys will be able to play with each other
through Xbox live (If the game permits it).

Games with Gold Titles Included in Backward Compatibility

When backward compatibility launches in November, all future Xbox 360 Games with Gold titles will be playable on Xbox One. That means Xbox Live Gold members now will get more free games to play each month on Xbox One.

As some additional information. to the answer already specified.

The backward compatible game while it is the same game the download is basically different version of the game, being the backward compatible version of the game. This is also the reason why inserting a backward compatible game via disc will result in the
backward compatible version being downloaded (disk is still required to start the game)

So in order for you to download that backward compatible version you will have to login to the Xbox Live Account that is used on the 360, which allows you to download backward compatible games that you own.

It's actually down to the game publisher whether or not the game will be on the backward compatible library. All you can do is keep any eye on the list, and hopefully it will be on there soon. Here is the list
