Xbox live promo - renew for $39.99?

So my gold subscription was about to run out and I saw a promo on my dashboard saying I could renew for $39.99. I go through the link, renew my subscription.....and I get charged $59.99 + tax. What's up with that? I'm not usually a stickler for $20 but my
wife and I have a new baby to support and we are both college students.

So far I've gotten no help with this issue. My case # is [mod removed] (from the live chat which was a total waste of time....) can I get some support?

Renewing Xbox live $1

I am able to renew my live account normally at the normal price. I was also able to use the $1 promo month for last month for Xbox live

 

Xbox live promo for gift card

Where you used a pre paid card to renew you won't get the free gift card. you had to renew during the promo period on the xbox dashboard via xbox live buy selecting the promo ad and so on buying the renewal online.

Really sorry to hear about the pricing mixup, because this is a billing issue this is going to be more on the side of Phone/Chat support. When you completed the purchase, did it state you were being charged $60 or did it show $40?

 

I sent you a message, did you get it? It said $39.99. When the charge went through my bank it showed $64.99.
