Xbox live privacy settings for Minecraft for a child.

Hi, my son wants to play Minecraft with his friends on Xbox live. His privacy settings are currently on child but even if I change then to teenager it still does not allow him to invite people to his world, the only way I can get it to work is by changing
the privacy settings to adult which I am not very comfortable with.

Is there any work around for this?

Can't access my child in Xbox Live Family Privacy

I have set up my Children on as Child members on my Microsoft account, but when I try to access their privacy settings on Xbox, they do not appear. I can change there privacy settings for Microsoft.

I have removed them as a child and added them back in, but it makes no difference.

Both my children have active microsoft and xbox live accounts.

Any help would be much appreciated as they really want to play Minecraft PE Realms.

Is it possible that your account is a Child account, by chance? If your account is a Child account, then you would need to have your account added to an

Xbox Live Family and then have an adult account to
adjust the privacy settings for the Child account.

 

Sorry to hear it. How old is your son? Does he have an Xbox Live Gold membership?

If your son is under the age of 18 you should not be able to change his permissions to adult.

As far as playing with friends on Xbox Live, he would need a Gold membership if he does not have one already.

What you can try though is to sign in with the parental account associated with your son's gamertag to the link posted below. They you'll be able to adjust the permissions for online play.

My son does have Xbox Live Gold membership but no matter what settings I adjust I cannot seem to get him to be able to play with his friends on Minecraft unless i set it to adult which i am not comfortable with, surely with the amount of children playing
Minecraft, someone else must have come across this?

Before anyone asks. My child's profile is setup for Online Gameplay.
