    Xbox live party chat - poor connection


    Since party chat switched to being hosted by Microsoft instead of on our consoles, the quality has been downright awful. I understand the need to switch to being hosted by Microsoft to keep users safe from internet based attacks, but when using the party
    chat over Xbox live the connection is so poor now I can barely understand what people are saying at times due to it breaking up so much. Considering party chat takes lesss than 100 kbps and I'm on a 100 mbps fiber optic connection, this is completely unacceptable.
    Before the switch, it worked flawlessly!

    Is anyone else experiencing the same problem or know if Microsoft is planning to address this issue? It takes almost no bandwidth for party chat, there's no reason this can't be fixed. Or if it can't be fixed, maybe give us an option to host party chat on
    our consoles like before if we are chatting with people we know and trust not to attack our network when our IP address is exposed.

    agreed, party chat from PC is terrible some nights when everyone is on, breaking up to literally throwing everyone out of chat.

    they won't give a choice to choose p2p or server, it's basically their way or the highway, bet they will have AI snooping for swearing and start banning next.

    I would prefer if they made discord available on the xbox so pc and xbox can communicate better.

    Agreed. Party Chat worked better at launch than it does now. It's very annoying. Even the famous 360 echoes are now appearing on ONES party chat which was mainly due to poor 2.5 jack connections.
