    Xbox Live Not Running for Backwards Compatible Games


    Hello,

    For the past two days whenever I try to play any backwards compatible game on the Xbox One, Xbox Live on the emulated 360 Dashboard will not run. Meanwile my Xbox One's Live connection works perfectly fine. I tried hard resetting and unplugging my router
    and neither seemed to help and my NAT isn't Strict. Any idea what's wrong?

    We just announced an outage for Purchase and Content usage. Please check our
    Xbox Live Status    .

    As for the Xbox 360 Backward Compatible Games, if the purchase still does not go through after the service is up and running, please visit:

    Xbox One backward compatibility FAQ    . This link talks about everything having to do with Backward Compatible Games including troubleshooting.

    Xbox Live Not Running for Backwards Compatible Games

    if its saying that you are unable to sign in/connect to xbox live try these steps as when this happened to me it managed to get it working again

    - Close any back compat games that are running.

    - Navigate to 'All settings' within the Xbox One guide.

    - Within the 'System' settings, select Storage.

    - Select Clear local Xbox 360 storage.

    cd games

    Hopefully with this game now backwards compatible, there should be no problem running it on Xbox One.

    Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. You can most definitely do this if you are playing backwards compatible games. If the game is on 360, and also on the Xbox one as a backwards compat title, then you guys will be able to play with each other
    through Xbox live (If the game permits it).
