Xbox live gold voucher entered accepted but not working

Hi could someone give me advise please.

I bought a 3month membership today i entered it, accepted it but if i want to buy a game on gold subscription it tells me i am not a xbox live gold subscriber. Could someone please tell me why?

Are you trying this on your console? On the website? Where exactly are you trying this at?

If on the website you will want to make sure you are signed into the account that has the gold subscription.

If on the console try doing a hard reset of the console by

1. Holding down the power button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds for it to shut off.

2. Unplug for approximately a minute

3. Plug back in and start up and see if that fixes the issue

Sometimes the console memory still thinks that you may not have gold.

Also you may want to make sure you put the gold subscription on the correct account you can check that by

Signing into the account at account.microsoft.com/services

power cycling your console by holding down the power button on the console for ten seconds. Also,

removing the account and downloading it back to the console can help resolve this issue. Be sure to let us know the results!

if you press the xbox button on your controller and go to enter code, you can enter your xbox live voucher there.
