XBOX Live Gold subscription not working for Halo Masterchief Collection & Call of Duty MW 2

When I purchased my XBox Series X, I had the Game Pass subscription free for the first few weeks and could play multi-player (online with other players) for Halo Masterchief Collection & Call of Duty MW 2.

After I switched to the XBOX Live Gold plan ($25 for 3 months), I can't seem to play multiplayer on COD MW 2 - it's as if all the online players disappeared no matter what time of the day I log in.

When I try to play Halo MC collection, I get this message "Sign in or renew the subscription - sign in with the profile used to buy this game and make sure your Xbox Live Gold, XBox Game Pass Ultimate, or EA Play is up to date."

My XBOX Live Gold subscription is ACTIVE & I'm signing in from my one and only XBOX account. Do these games require XBOX Game Pass upgrade?

Please help - it's very frustrating not to be able to get help from a Microsoft/XBox staff and rely on community message boards.

You would need Game Pass if you did not purchase the games and were only accessing them through Game Pass. Otherwise, as long as you own the games, Gold is all you need to play online. That sounds more like the issue on Halo then MW2.

That's about it.

Halo 3 ODST is an add-on for Halo Masterchief Collection, not an individual game. So you would need the Masterchief Collection in order to play it.
