    Hello,

    I have a regular xbox live gold subscription active but it is not shared with my son's account on the xbox one. He is part of the family and the console is set as home console. Everything was working till about one month ago. At return from holidays it doesn't
    work anymore and, when I log with my son account, it says that payment is due. I tried to remove and add again his account with the same result. Help

    Your Xbox Live Gold subscription carries over. Furthermore, one subscription can now be shared within your family.

    xbox "home gold" share Xbox One's premium features

    Kinda sounds similar to the family share just a little tighter on the digital game sharing. It seems their may be a tier system for Xbox subscription so if your only using the TV & Netflix side it may be cheaper than the full gold package. Only time will tell at this point.

    Xbox live and game pass on 2 consoles

    you can share gold and gamepass on both consoles and just pay a membership just have the profile on both consoles and turn on the sharing option, another option is to make a family account and on the main pay for the subscription and share with your children's

    I'm so sorry for what you're going through yes, multiplayer may not work with shared play.

    Game sharing is a feature that allows members of a family to share their games and subscriptions with other family members. However, live multiplayer is not included in the shared game.

    To play live multiplayer, the family member signing into the game must have an active Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription.

    In this case, the person sharing games with you may not have an active Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription. If so, you will not be able to play live multiplayer.

    To check if the person you're sharing games with has an active Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, you can ask them to go to Settings > Account > Subscriptions.

    If the person you're sharing games with has an active Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription, but you still can't play live multiplayer, there may be another issue.

    Adding a family member to my gold account.

    Hi there,

    do you have a family pack subscription or a gold subscription, because you will need an active family pack subscription to be able to do so.

    -

    If you don't have a family pack subscription, you can't get it anymore, as it is discontinued and the only other option would be to get a seperate xbox live subscription for that other account.
