xBox Live Gold Sub. cancel / Refund

Hi my xBox Live Gold subscription renewed itself without me know thus costing me 80$ CAN. I went trough all the steps to cancel a subscription and get a refund. Has it only been a few hours since they took 80$ from me only telling me when it was done I assumed
there was going to be no problems and only a simple and quick solution. They told me that I indeed canceled my subscription successfully and that an 80$ refund was going to be en route, but they didn't specify if it was going to be put back in my bank account
or will it come to me as an xBox credit or something by giving me 80$ of xBox money to spend only in THEIR freaking store... I'm currently fighting to download a system update on my xBox One so any information on my situation would be greatly appreciated.

If it happened to one of you please tell me how long it took for the money to get back in the right place and do I need to do anything else but wait ?

Just turn off auto renew Ghostmajic, and your account will revert to silver when the current sub runs out.

If you want instant cancellation, you have to call support.

Cancelling your sub mid term will not get you a refund on remaining time, but you will lose all gold access.
