Xbox Live Gold shut down, how will it affect the Xbox 360 games that require it?

I have a question regarding the discontinuation of the Xbox Live Gold program. I own several games for my Xbox 360 that have multiplayer game modes (with bots) that cannot be accessed without an active Xbox Live Gold subscription. (Some of these such games can still be played on the Xbox One and Series X). Even though the servers for the multiplayer modes are gone, the bot modes cannot be played without the active subscription linked to the account. So when the Xbox Live Gold service ends, how will this affect the ability to access the multiplayer bot game modes?

It is not a rule. However it is true that things can brooke whenever a system is updated.

Multiplayer should work as it used to but there is really no way to know until to change is completely made

It should not affect your gameplay

The new subscription will apparently include the same benefits, including online multiplayer. The difference will be that games with gold will end but access to a library of 25 Game Pass titles will be granted.

Yes, when an entire subscription service is removed and replaced with something entirely different, the new system might not properly align with the old system so even though the account says it has access to online multiplayer, the Xbox 360 might not see that code as Xbox Live Gold, so access to the bot multiplayer modes will be shut off. Here is an example: buy an Xbox 360 game on the Xbox One/Series X, you buy it there and play it on those two consoles but you cannot install it on the Xbox 360 itself. And if you try and buy it on the Xbox 360, there will be an error message every time because the system thinks you already own it because of the purchase on the separate system. But you still cannot play it on the Xbox 360 though thats the system it was made for. Buy a game on the Xbox 360 or the PC marketplace for the 360 and you can install it on the Xbox 360 just fine but have problems with the Xbox One/Series X. When stuff gets updated, something gets broken.

Do you still have an Xbox live gold subscription?

To continue to have the license to play the Xbox One games It is required to keep a gold subscription active on the account. And NO sharing a gold subscription with another profile does not work.

The 360 games are not affected by the gold subscription requirement.

Once you renew the gold subscription you will gain access back to the licenses for the Xbox One Games with Gold.

The Xbox Live Servers for the Xbox 360 are not shut down yet. You just need to play as you normally would.

The only requirement is to have an active gold subscription.

As a sidenote: Some games may not be playable anymore due to its servers been taken down
