Xbox Live Gold purchasing/codes - NOT WORKING

This is a complete joke.

While Xbox Live was having problems over the last two days, I entered a 2-day Xbox Live Gold code in the Windows 10 Xbox App on my PC. It accepted the code on PC, but my Xbox One console seems very confused.

Whenever I try to play an online game, it tells me a Gold subscription is required, and redirects me to the 1-mont, 3-month, 1-year purchase selections.

When I go to the Xbox Live Gold page in the Xbox Store (currently a $1 promotion), it offers no option to purchase any subscriptions, just a "Manage" button. When I click "Manage" it takes me to the subscription page in the settings. I can still see my game
pass subscription perfectly well, but no Gold Subscription in sight.

It's like doublethink from 1984: my Xbox One thinks I have a subscription, and yet at the same time, it doesn't. Contacting support isn't helping because none of them are flipping responding! Even with 0 people waiting!

I better get another 2-day Xbox Live Gold code because these stupid problems have prevented me from playing online completely!

MS ripped me off, can anyone help me out?

Hello, I bought xbox live gold a while ago, when there was a deal going, the deal was buy three months of gold and get a code sent by email, for another three months of xbox live gold. Seemed like a great deal so I purchased. Well, it said that the code would be sent by May 15, I purchased this in early January.
Now the codes have not been sent, haven't heard anything from MS, feeling ripped off. Did this happen to anyone here? And I am very sure the deal was valid for me.

check your spam folder otherwise just call MS or chat with them on the support web site. cheeze it's not that difficult is it?

First a Trial code like that is not going to show up in the subscription section on your console.

Only purchased subscriptions show up there.

Try and do a power cycle of your console by:

1. Hold down the power button on front of console for about 10 seconds for it to shut off.

2. Unplug from power supply for approximately a minute.

3. Plug back in.

4. Turn on.

5. Sign in and see if that fixed your problem.

Also are you sure you were signed in with the same account where you put in the code as the account on your xbox?

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. In the past, customers were not able to complete a purchase for Xbox Live Gold using the currency on their account. The customer would have to purchase an Xbox Live Gold prepaid code with the currency on
their account and redeem the code. Recently, this method of purchasing an Xbox Live Gold subscription has been changed. Customers are now able to complete a purchase for Xbox Live Gold by using the currency on their account. We hope this helps!

You are able to purchase Xbox Live Gold through several options

- You can purchase a subscription directly through your xbox with a credit card

- You can purchase pre-paid cards that come with codes you can enter through the Xbox guide menu.

To enter a code from a pre-paid card, press the Guide button on your controller, go left to Games and Apps, and scroll down and select Redeem Code, you can then enter your code and you should be golden!
