Is your payment option a credit card or PayPal?

Make sure that the address of your payment option matches the region you set your console to.

So for example, if you live in France, and you set your console to be US English, your French payment address won't match the US store region and it won't work.

"You do not have valid payment options registered." I am sure I have set the payment method correctly, but when I go to "Change payment options" I refer to another page with another error: unexpected behavior.

Have you tried to purchase the game using your Microsoft account on a pc, it may have been a temporary glitch.

I downloaded it via the xbox 360 store page on the PC.

Thanks for updating us with your reply. Based on the message you received regarding payment options, please be sure that you have a valid credit/debit card on file for use in the 360 Marketplace. Its a requirement for any purchases made from that area, even
if they're listed as Free with Gold, they would come through as being $0.00 (for example).
