Xbox Live Gold membership paid up, but saying we're not members

Hello

We bought xbox live gold in January 2018 and due to renew in Jan 2019.

As of the last few days the xbox is telling us that we need to renew, but my account shows our membership is active/live.

how do i resolve this?

Can't download Castlestorm with Live Gold

Are you on a one month trial or an actual paid subscription? Unfortunately Games With Gold titles are not available to members on a trial membership but instead required a paid subscription in order to download.

I have a 90k gamerscore and have been very spotty with my Gold membership, probably only a total of 4-5 years since I got the 360 in 2005.

 

My brother had this issue and Xbox support told him to do a console reset on his Xbox and that sorted it for him.

Settings -> System -> Console Info - Reset Console -> Reset and Keep my Games and Apps

Give it a try and hope it helps.

If the subscription shows, try the following steps

1. Remove profile from the console (Make sure you know the account credentials for the account, since you will need them later). See here how to:

2. Turn off your console and unplug it for 30 seconds. Plug it back in and boot up.

3. Redownload your profile and try again in the game.

Even better if that works, but it didn't for my brother and his was acting up for 3 days before he did the console reset.

Give the profile reset a try and if that works, great but if not try the console reset as it keeps all your games etc so just need to wait for the reset to complete.

 

Have had this same issue...I tried logging out and logging back in first, which didn't work.. so I just cancelled my subscription and resubbed to it
