    I think the only games that you have to have Live Gold are the monthly free Games with Gold games. When I go on the Xbox store and look at those games it says that I can play the game free for now or I can purchase a copy to own forever.

    free monthly trials are not shown as gold membership and you can't access every xbox live service feature with them.

    Free games with gold isn't a bad start. But I agree there, we are paying monthly or yearly to play games on Xbox live, they should compensate for the many times and hours it has gone down.
