    Xbox live gold - do you own this game or app?


    Looking for some help out there please - our xbox has been working fine offline with our own games since we purchased it a couple of years ago, however we decided to take the plunge and upgrade to xbox live gold so we can play friends online but since
    the upgrade none of our games load and we just keep getting the message “Do you own this game or app (0x803F8001)? Of course we do and have tried troubleshooting to no avail - can anyone help!

    Try powercycling your console by holding down its powerbutton for 10 seconds

    A hard restart would be to hold the power button on the Xbox for 10 seconds. If that doesn’t work, then you might want to try to reset the whole console. A hard restart doesn’t erase any data, but resetting the console will.

    If you have the games downloaded and not on disc, you have to use the profile that purchased the games, unless the profile that purchased the games has that Xbox as its home Xbox. If you have the games as disc, you might want to try a hard restart,
    or check service issues to see if its a problem with the servers, and not the console itself.
    Thanks for your reply vTL Gerninator, all games are on disc but when inserted nothing loads, we just get the error message quoted before.

    wont a hard reset erase everything?
