    Xbox Live gold Autorenewal


    My Debit card just got charged automatically for the xbox live gold , due to it being auto renewed without my knowledge.

    I want to contact customer support over this issue but am unable to reach them. I want them to backtrack and refund this money as i already have a microsoft 12 month card that i got for cheaper online which i plan to use.

    I am from India.

    Some help would be appreciated.

    no. you have to wait till it expires to get the full 12 months. just hold onto the card. personally though, i would use it now. its just a month. $5 isnt much of a waste. i would do this only cuz the longer the card is active, the more chance there is to
    a code generator coming up with that code and someone highjacking it.

    If you still have 14 days of Xbox Live gold on your account and you redeem a 12 month Xbox Live gold code then you will NOT be billed even if you have auo renew on. You will only be billed if you have auto renew on and do not have any Xbox Live gold time
    left on your account.

    If you turn off autorenewal before it tries to renew, you'll just drop back down to silver until you can purchase gold again. If you do not turn off autorenewal, they will attempt to charge you for gold. If they cannot charge you after a few tries, your

    Hello,

    When you sign into Xbox.com do you see the same gamertag as you see when you're signed into your Xbox 360 console?

    If not, go to your Xbox 360 console from the dashboard go to Settings > Account > 3rd Tab (Account Information) > Account Security. Look to the right, and you'll see the e-mail you should be using to login to Xbox.com with. Once you do that, it will show you
    a matching gamertag on the console as well as on Xbox.com. You can then follow the instructions in the e-mail to cancel automatic renewal.

    If you're having difficulty with that, please contact phone support directly.

    Hey, I'm sure most of you already dealt with the issue you've posted about, because it was a long time ago- but if you ever have issues with auto-renewal again, here's something that helped me.. they changed the way you turn auto-renewal on/off (i think
    pretty recently).. it used to be on the Xbox site, but now its on a Microsoft site.. so here's a link to the directions, it gives you the link to the Microsoft website and walks you through everything.. support.xbox.com/.../renew-xbox-live-gold-account
    it's very odd too- i got a message from microsoft saying even though my gold subscription was ending, i had auto renewal turned on- so my service wouldn't be interrupted. when i checked things out though, it didn't have auto-renewal listed as active
    anywhere! very bizzare...

    If you can't turn it off via the website, the next thing to do would be to contact phone support and talk to billing directly and have them turn it off for you -
