    Xbox Live gold across two machines


    My situation is this.

    My kids live between my house and their mums. Both houses have Xboxs. They never play on the two Xboxs at the same time.

    The Xbox Live Gold (XLG) subscription is owned by Dad123.

    The two kids have their own accounts KidA and KidB.

    I understand that if I make Dad123 the Home account on one of the consoles then KidA and KidB can utilise the XLG without logging into Dad123 on that machine only.

    But then what of the other machine. It seems that the only way for them to use the XLG is for that Xbox to be logged in as Dad123. After which they then log in as KidA/B.

    But I don't want to allow them to log in as Dad123 as I want to control screen time.

    Currently the only way that they can play on both machines is for them to have the Dad123 passkey and now I no longer have any control over screen time.

    Can anyone help me with this?

    Yeah Gold works across the platforms so you only need gold on your Xbox Live account to use it on 360 and One. You're totally safe to renew, I'm renewed for the next two years already :)

    If you get gold for one account and install that account on both xbox consoles, set one as 'home xbox' and share gold across two consoles. Its a bit confusing but it works.

    I've had this problem since late March 2018. It happens on two different Windows 10 machines. Resetting the app doesn't help; reinstalling the app doesn't help. The fact that it is a problem across multiple machines would seem to me to suggest that any fix
    would have to happen on Microsoft's servers.
